Lots of people prefer to wear contact lenses instead of glasses, so you’ll be pleased to know that you can still wear contact lenses after cataract surgery, provided you allow enough time for your eye to heal afterwards. We advise patients to wait six weeks before wearing contact lenses after cataract surgery. As many patients experience a significant improvement in their vision following the surgery, you may also find that you need to adjust your prescription.
