Patient Safety Incident Response Policy/Plan

The SpaMedica Patient Safety Incident Response Policy and Plan [PSIRP’s], aligns to the NHS patient safety strategy, and  the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework, and sets out our organisational approach to developing and maintaining effective systems and processes for responding to our patient safety events at both Local and National level, for the purpose of learning and improving patient safety. Our PSIRP’s replace the National Serious Incident Framework (2015).

Our PSIRP’s have four key aims, and these are to ensure:

  1. Compassionate engagement and involvement of those affected by patient safety incidents,
  2. Application of a range of system-based approaches to learning from patient safety incidents,
  3. Considered and proportionate responses to patient safety incidents,
  4. Supportive oversight focused on strengthening response system functioning and improvement.

If you require a version of our PSIRPs in any other adjusted or adapted format, please do contact us.
