How to find us
Our hospital is located on Wembley Park Boulevard, close to Wembley Stadium. If travelling by car, the closest access is via Pacific Crescent as there is no vehicle access to the front of the building. From Empire Way, to turn on to Royal Route, head to the
end and turn left on to Pacific Crescent. There is an accessible public car park named ‘Red Parking’ located just a 2-minute walk from the hospital, but please note that charges will apply.
The closest bus stop is located at Brent Civic Centre on Engineers Way, just a 5-minute walk from SpaMedica Wembley. Head East on Engineers Way and turn right on to Wembley Park Boulevard. Walk down the road and the hospital will be located on the
left. The service to Brent Civic Centre is the number 92, but depending on your direction there are a number of bus services running around Wembley. We do encourage you to check and plan your journey before travelling. For more information and the latest

The closest train station to SpaMedica Wembley is Wembley Stadium Station, a short6-minute walk away. After exiting the station head towards South Way, turn right and then take the left on to Wembley Park Boulevard. The closest tube station is Wembley Park and it is a 10-minute walk from SpaMedica Wembley. Head South on to Olympic Way, follow the road down to Engineers Way, turn right and then take an instant left on

If you live in England, all you need to do is let your optician or GP know which healthcare provider and hospital location you would like to have your cataract treatment at, and they’ll send a referral to your chosen provider. You should hear back from your provider within two to three weeks following your referral. If you haven’t heard anything after this point, we recommend contacting the person who referred you—this will be your optician or GP—to check on the status of your referral.

The only suitable treatment for cataracts is surgery. It is one of the safest surgeries you can have and is also the most common operation performed in the UK today, taking up to only 20 minutes for routine cases. The cloudy lens is removed and replaced with an artificial lens (implant). This is normally done under a local anaesthetic using eye drops to numb the eye.
