Driving - Can I drive to and from my hospital appointments?

During your appointments, we dilate your pupils so your optometrist and surgeon can get a better look at your eye. Dilation causes blurred vision and sensitivity to light, meaning that you won’t be able to drive for about six hours after your appointment, so it’s important for you to organise a lift or arrange other transport to/from the hospital. SpaMedica provides free transport for some patients, based on your location and other criteria.
